Carolyn Hladik, MA; RCC, RSW

Carolyn obtained her BSW from UBC here in the Okanagan in 2008. She spent her next eleven years as a social worker in the Central and North Okanagan communities before pursuing her Master’s in Counseling Psychology.

Her experiences as a social worker created a deep appreciation for ensuring clients are supported in their environments and are also connected to all available community resources and services. Carolyn works with children and youth, as well as adults and families who are experiencing various mental health challenges. These may include anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment ruptures, autism, ADHD and FASD.

Carolyn employs various counselling modalities from cognitive behavior therapy and mindfulness, to narrative therapy and social thinking models.  She is trained in attachment focused EMDR. Carolyn values ongoing professional development and is committed to continued training in evidence-based therapies. In all her work, she is led by a client-centered perspective that is strength based and culturally curious and competent.
